Moberly High School freshman Camryn Crist visited North Park Elementary in early December to distribute a coloring book she published. Her story focuses on the importance of organ donations after her late grandfather’s cornea transplant.

Crist elaborates on the inspiration from her grandfather.

Midwest Transplant Network sponsored the coloring book, and Crist’s involvement with Miss Missouri’s Outstanding Teen Organization sparked the project. Crist thanks Moberly High School junior Bailey Hurt, who illustrated the coloring book.

Crist started the book when schools were virtual in mid-April, and the freshman sent the work to printers in late October. Crist participates in Moberly soccer, cheerleading, speech and debate, and the student Senate.
