Moberly Discusses Four-Day School Week

Parents, teachers, and community members turned out for a town hall at Moberly High School Thursday for discussion if the district should go to a four-day school week. Missouri State University’s Dr. Jon Turner has been studying four-day weeks in Missouri districts since retiring as a teacher and school administrator eight years ago, when there were only 17 of those in the state.
Turner makes clear he doesn’t take sides for or against making a switch.
Turner says only one district in Missouri has gone back to five-day weeks after making the switch, but it can cause major problems for some families.
