Moberly Council Gets First Look at Budget

During a special work session Tuesday, the Moberly City Council took a look at some of the numbers that are being considered for the new budget. Finance Director Greg Hodge says putting the spending plan together is in the early stages.

The coronavirus and an anticipated drop in revenues is presenting challenges.

At this point Hodge says the finance staff, the city manager and department heads will continue to look at possible cuts, reevaluate revenue and look at operations in order to try and find ways to make money in order to get the budget in balance.
