The Moberly City Council has decided to support two housing projects that are seeking low income tax credits. City Manager Brian Crane.

Crane says having two projects to submit, indicates a need in the community.

The credits are a challenge to obtain.

Though this project dealing with the old junior high building downtown is different than the last time it was brought forward, it has been presented to the state several times, and not received the tax credits. Applications for the tax credits are due in early September, with an announcement of which projects statewide will receive them, expected near the end of the year. The Moberly City Council also approved sending out a request for proposals for the reuse of the old junior high building.
