While discussions will continue concerning its future, the Moberly City Council has agreed to purchase the old junior high building in downtown Moberly. City Manager Brian Crane says the sale price is just under $9,000.

The council is expected to hear a presentation from a developer at its next meeting, who is interested in applying for tax credits, to assist with the rehab of the facility. Crane says that is just one of the possibilities.

Crane says there has been interest in the property.

Several previous attempts to apply for tax credits for development of a project have been unsuccessful.
