Moberly Closes Regular Season Hosting Jefferson City

Moberly and Jefferson City close out the regular season Friday night at Dr. Larry K. Noel-Spartan Stadium. Both teams enter the game 4-4. Moberly coach Cody McDowell explains how the Jays ended up on the schedule.

Jefferson City coach Damon Wells has nearly 90 players, but many are young. He says he’s following Bobby Bowden’s philosophy.

The Jays are coming in off an overtime win over Battle last week. McDowell says Jefferson City will be the biggest team they’ve played.

Wells says Moberly has a talented defensive front.

Both teams are trying to hang on to their district seeds. Moberly comes in in first in Class 3, District 5. Jefferson City is second in Class 4, District 5, and can’t jump over Hannibal due to a head-to-head loss in Week 2. J.B. Connoley will have the broadcast on KWIX. Our football coverage starts with the Lindy’s College Football Report at 6:06 before going to the stadium.
