Moberly State Champion Clemsen Continues To Build Maryland Wrestling With A Contract Extension

A former Moberly High School state champion received a five-year contract extension in the spring, to continue to build University of Maryland wrestling. Head coach Alex Clemsen says the foundation is in place for Terrapins Wrestling…..

The returners include four-of-five NCAA Qualifiers. Clemsen says depth is part of the excitement entering his fifth season……

The top returner is sophomore Jaxon Smith, who was eliminated in the NCAA round of 12 by a two-time national champion….

Maryland’s 10 dual wins were the most in a decade and the five NCAA qualifiers were the most since 2014.
