Moberly And Mexico Battle For The Top Spot In The District

Moberly and Mexico both come into Friday night’s game with records of 3-4, yet they sit first and second in Class 3 District 5. Spartans coach Cody McDowell says this is a big game even if a top seed wasn’t on the line…..

If they can hold on, either of those top two spots would be good enough for a first round bye in the postseason. Mexico coach Steve Haag says that helped last season.

The Bulldogs rushed for 445 yards in beating the Spartans 41-14 last year. McDowell says the Mexico offense is difficult to prepare for….

Anthony Shivers is back. He ran for over 241 yards and scored five touchdowns in that game. Haag says Moberly’s offense gave them fits last year.

Moberly had won five straight in the series prior to that. You can hear tonight’s game on KWIX and centralmoinfo.com. Brad and J.B. will have the call. We start our football Friday on KWIX with Lindy’s College Football Report at 6:35.
