Mizzou announced Jayla Kelly and Sara-Rose Smith signed national letters of intent to play women’s basketball at Missouri next season. Kelly is rated as a four-star recruit by ESPNW, while Smith has played for the Australian national team. Kelly is a 6-3 center at Parkway Central High School. As a junior, the team went 24-7 and finished third in the state last year. She averaged 12.4 points, 11.8 rebounds and 2.9 blocks per game. She is the 79th best recruit in the Class of 2020 by ESPNW, and second-best in Missouri. Smith, a 6-1 guard from Australia, will make the trip overseas to join fellow Aussie Shannon Dufficy on the court next season. Smith was a member of Australia’s selection camp roster for the FIBA U19 World Cup and captured bronze at the 2018 Youth Olympics playing for Australian’s 3-on-3 national team.
