MIZZOU RANKED AND LEADING THE EAST AT THE MIDWAY POINT
October 15, 2019 9:15AM CDT
The Mizzou football team is 5-1 at the midway mark of the regular season, only needing one win and the NCAA overturning their postseason ban for the team to become bowl-eligible. Coach Barry Odom says as his team gets into the “meat of the schedule”, it was beneficial to have a game against Mississippi that kept the Tigers challenged in the fourth quarter.
The Tigers had a season-low two penalties for 26 yards Saturday. Odom says they need to continue keeping penalties to a minimum.
Linebacker Nick Bolton says with Cameron Wilkins replacing Cale Garrett in the lineup, he’s not trying to do anything different in there.
Quarterback Kelly Bryant was happy the team moved all alone into first place in the SEC East.
Mizzou will be at Vandebilt Saturday afternoon. We’ll have the pregame from the Tigers Radio Network at 1pm, and kickoff at 3pm on 99.9, The Captain.
