MIZZOU PREPARES FOR OLE MISS WITHOUT GARRETT – BUT BRYANT GETTING BETTER

Missouri celebrates Homecoming this Saturday with Ole Miss coming to Faurot Field. Mizzou will be without starting senior linebacker Cale Garrett, who had surgery this week for an injured pectoral tendon. Garrett leads the team in tackles, interceptions, and defensive touchdowns. Quarterback Kelly Bryant is expected to play. He suffered a sprained left knee on a late hit by Troy’s Travis Sailo last Saturday. At a news conference Tuesday, Bryant said he was about 90 percent and getting adjusted to wearing a brace. Odom does not expect a dropoff if the Tigers have to go with Taylor Powell, who played the second half against Troy.

The Tigers are 4-1, 1-0 in the SEC. Ole Miss is 3-3, 2-1 in the SEC following a 31-6 home win over Vanderbilt. Kickoff will be at 6pm. Pregame coverage from the Tiger Radio Network starts at 4pm.
