Studies on regenerative agriculture have taken place at the University of Missouri’s research farms for years, and soon they’ll be under an umbrella of their own. The College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources has established a dedicated Center for Regenerative Agriculture. Director Rob Myers says while regenerative agriculture can encompass a wide range of practices, one of the key focuses is soil health.

An advisory committee of farmers, state agency and agribusiness representatives will help guide the center’s formation. Myers says current and future studies will find their way into the center.

Myers says several funding sources are helping make the center possible, including grants from the Missouri Department of Conservation, Department of Natural Resources, and the Walton Family Foundation.
