Mizzou Hires Kerrick Jackson as Baseball Coach

Mizzou named Kerrick Jackson the next head baseball coach Saturday. Jackson led Memphis to 29 victories this season, their first winning season since 2017. He was a Mizzou assistant and recruiting coordinator from 2011 to 2015. Jackson was the head coach at Southern University from 2018 to 2020, where he took a nine-win team in 2018 to 32 wins, a conference championship, and the NCAA Tournament the following season, earning SWAC and Louisiana Sports Writers Association Coach of the Year accolades. His other collegiate coaching stops include assistant stints at St. Louis-Meramec, Nicholls State, Jefferson College, Coffeyville Community College, Emporia State, and Fairfield. Jackson played two years at St. Louis-Meramec, then went to Bethune-Cookman and Nebraska.
