Mizzou Gets 8 Seed in D1 Softball Tournament

Mizzou softball will enter the NCAA Division I Tournament as the eighth seed. The Tigers host Iowa State, UNI, and UIC in their double-elimination regional. 38-15 Mizzou will face UIC 3:30pm Friday at Taylor Stadium. Should the Tigers win their regional, they would take on the winner of the Knoxville regional. Tennessee is the hosts as the nine seed. Teams in their regional include Eastern Kentucky, Liberty, and James Madison. Other SEC schools who are hosting regionals include third seeded Alabama, fourth seeded Florida, sixth seeded Arkansas, seventh seeded LSU, and 14th seeded Kentucky. Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Auburn, and Georgia also qualified for the tournament. The top overall seed is Oklahoma.
