Mizzou Expects Continued Growth Under Drinkwitz

Eliah Drinkwitz is getting ready for his second season as head coach of the Missouri Tigers, but Thursday marked his first appearance at the SEC Media Days podium. The Tigers were 5-5 a year ago, and earned a berth in the Music City Bowl before it was canceled. Drinkwitz said that was a start.

They return eight starters on each side of the ball.

Drinkwitz says sophomore quarterback Connor Bazelak played within himself last season.

Drinkwitz brought two linemen with him to emphasize the trenches. Senior defensive lineman Akial Byers…

Byers says it’s “crazy” learning from new defensive coordinator Steve Wilks.

Junior offensive lineman Case Cook also made the trip to Hoover, Alabama. He expects the team to have a better season this year.

Cook says the offense is loaded.

The Tigers start conference play Week Two at Kentucky.

The Tigers open at home against Central Michigan at 3 on September 4th.
