Missouri Voters to Decide State Investment Options and Budget Control of KCPD

Missouri voters will decide on five statewide ballot issues on next Tuesday’s ballot. Nancy Copenhaver with the League of Women Voters of Moberly and Randolph County says Amendment 1 would change how Missouri’s funds could be invested.

This amendment will allow the General Assembly to determine investment avenues for the state treasurer to invest state funds, as well as allow the state treasurer to invest in municipal securities. A “no” vote would limit the treasurer to investing state funds only in those investment options currently approved by the Constitution.

Amendment 4 would impact funding for the Kansas City Police Department.
