Missouri Valley College Football Looks to Rebound This Season

Following a 3-8 season last year, the Missouri Valley College football team looks to bounce back this year under 21st year head coach Paul Troth. Troth says two guys the program will lean on are quarterback Darrion Cole and linebacker Craig Travis.

The Memphis native Cole threw for just over 2,000 yards last year and tossed 15 touchdowns. Cole says this is the best offense the Vikings have had since he joined the team.

Travis recorded 45 tackles last season and will be the defensive leader for the Vikings. The Vikings bring in a new defensive coordinator as well as a new defensive system. Travis says implementing a new system will be an adjustment.

Troth says he is excited about the roster going into camp.

Missouri Valley College opens the season at home August 27th against Peru State.
