Off-season events are resuming at the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia. In a statement to Regional Radio, marketing director Kari Mergen tells us that events scheduled to take place on the grounds will have to provide a plan on how they will enforce guidelines as released by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services as well as the Pettis County Health Center. The fairgrounds is also encouraging social distancing, proper hand hygiene, and advising visitors to stay home if they are sick. Fair officials are still determining how the State Fair itself will operate this August, and are expected to announce their course of action later this month.
