Missouri State Fair Announces Opening Night Concert

An emerging country duo, along with one part of another legendary duo, will open this year’s Missouri State Fair Grandstand concert lineup.  Fair officials announced Wednesday morning that Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line would headline the fair’s opening night August 10th on the Grandstand presented by CFM Insurance.  Hubbard is set to release his debut solo album this year, following the success of his first solo single “5 Foot 9”.  Florida Georgia Line previously appeared at the fair in 2014, as Hubbard and bandmate Brian Kelley were touring to promote the first of their 19 number one hits.

Opening for Hubbard is Parmalee.  Brothers Matt and Scott Thomas were nominated for the ACM New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year award last year, and became the fourth group since 2001 to have three consecutive Top Ten singles from a debut country album.  Hits from their debut album For You include “Just The Way” and “Take My Name”.

Tickets to this show and other concerts on the State Fair Grandstand presented by CFM Insurance will go on sale the morning of June 27th through ETix.  The 121st Missouri State Fair runs August 10th through the 20th.
