Missouri Spring Turkey Season Opens this Week

Monday is the opening of Missouri’s spring turkey season. The season runs through May 7th. Macon County Conservation Agent Jared Kelly says there are rules and regulations to keep in mind.

Kelly adds there are some notable differences between the spring and fall turkey seasons.

Hunters also need to be weather aware during the spring turkey season.

Hunters are also encouraged to wear their hunter orange as an extra safety precaution.
