Missouri House Passes Joint Resolution Altering Term Limits

The Missouri House of Representatives has approved House Joint Resolution 69, which would alter the state’s term limits. Representative Tim Taylor of Bunceton says he’s in favor of this proposal.

Current state statute limits legislators to eight years each in the House and Senate. HJR 69 would allow them to serve 16 total years in either chamber. Taylor believes this is worth pushing for.

The resolution still requires approval from the Senate. It would then go to Missouri voters for final approval.
