Missouri House Passes Budget

The Missouri House of Representatives has passed its version of the Fiscal Year 2025 budget. House Budget Committee Member Representative Tim Taylor says road improvements are a major focus.

Taylor’s district covers portions of Randolph, Howard, Cooper and Chariton counties. He says education funding is another major aspect of the bill.

The House budget also includes a pay raise for state employees. It now advances to the Senate.

The House budget totals just under 50-billion dollars. The Missouri Legislature must pass a balanced budget by May 3rd.
