Missouri House Passes Bill Dealing With Initiative Petition Signature Gathering

The Missouri House of Representatives has passed House Bill 1749. Representative Peggy McGaugh of Carrollton says this is a statutory provision dealing with initiative petition reform.

The bill also prohibits payment to signature gatherers on a per signature basis. McGaugh says this bill is important to maintain election integrity in the state.

House Bill 1749 is sponsored by Representative Mike Haffner of Pleasant Hill. The House approved it by a vote of 104-41.
