Missouri House Continuing Discussion on Wide-Ranging Senate Education Bill

The Missouri House of Representatives recently held a public hearing on a wide-ranging education bill from the Senate. It features an expansion of private school options, expands charter schools to Boone County and provides increased teacher pay. Representative Cheri Toalson Reisch says there are challenges with such a large bill.

Toalson Reisch adds one of the legislature’s focuses is to help teachers.

The bill has yet to reach the House floor for a full debate. The Missouri Legislature has until the end of session on May 17th.
