Missouri House Considers Call Spoofing Legislation

The Missouri House of Representatives is in the process of considering a bill that would crack down on phone scammers. Representative Cheri Toalson Reisch says Senate Bill 119 would crack down on call spoofing.

The bill is sponsored by Eric Burlison of Battlefield. Toalson Reisch explains how the law would be enforced.

People caught call spoofing can be fined up to $5,000 for each call. Burlison’s bill passed out of the Senate in late March.
