Missouri House Committee Considering Further Initiative Petition Reform Legislation

House Joint Resolution 43, which deals with initiative petition reform in the state, recently advanced to the Missouri Senate. The resolution originated from the House Elections and Elected Officials Committee. Committee Chair Peggy McGaugh of Carrollton says the committee continues to hear bills related to initiative petition reform.
The biggest debate deals with the margin in which an initiative petition needs to pass.
The Missouri Senate has not yet debated House Joint Resolution 43.
