The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission has awarded over $30 million in contracts for Northeast District projects. Among the projects, a contract of $3.5 million was awarded to Capital Paving and Construction for resurfacing projects in both Randolph and Macon Counties. The work will include resurfacing and the addition of shoulders on Highway 24 in Randolph County from one mile east of Highway 63 to the Monroe County line. Similar work will take place on Route Z in Randolph County from Route DD to Highway 63 near Cairo. Lastly, resurfacing and shoulder work will take place on Route PP in Macon County from Highway 63 to Route V near Macon.

Emery Sapp & Sons was awarded an additional contract of $6.1 million that will cover resurfacing projects on Highway 54 in Audrain County from Route J in Mexico to Highway 19 near Martinsburg. The contract will also cover resurfacing work on Route KK in Audrain County from Route J to Route B near Rush Hill.

All of the projects will take place in 2022. Start dates are still to be determined.
