Missouri Governor Mike Parson announced a statewide order for all public and charter schools to remain closed for the rest of the academic year Thursday afternoon.

Nutrition Services and Child Care outlined in the states health order are exempt from this order. State Board of Education Commissioner Dr. Margie Vandeven says the decision was made in the best interest of keeping Missouri students and faculty healthy while the COVID-19 pandemic continues.

Clawson feels bad for the seniors who were set to graduate this May.

As of Thursday afternoon, Missouri has 3,539 positive cases of coronavirus out of 32,282 tests, and have 77 deaths.
