Over half of Missouri farmers surveyed this month by the Missouri Farm Bureau say they’ve begun the process for applying for aid from USDA’s Coronavirus Food Assistance Program. Farm Bureau’s Eric Bohl says the response to this program has proven much better than the Paycheck Protection Program that Congress approved in late March during the onset of the pandemic.

Bohl adds that many of the 377 farmers who took the survey had suggestions for what Congress needs to do with the next round of aid.

Missouri Farm Bureau conducted their survey during the second week of June.
