Missouri Department of Conservation Releases Harvest Numbers for Fall Firearms Deer Season

The Missouri Department of Conservation has released preliminary harvest numbers for the November portion of the firearms deer season. Missouri hunters harvested 197,724 deer over the course of the ten-day season. Callaway County had the third largest harvest with 3,416 deer. Texas County came in second with 3,607 while Franklin County had the largest harvest with 4,175. Numbers were up from last season when hunters harvested 188,928 deer. Missouri’s archery deer season will run through January 15th. Meanwhile, the late youth firearms deer season will run this Friday through Monday.
