Missouri Agribusiness Academy Prepares For 35th Class

The Missouri Department of Agriculture’s summer tour and workshop for future agribusiness leaders will enter its 35th year this June when 30 high school sophomores will make their way through the Kansas City metro.  Ag Director Chris Chinn says past participants have made their way into successful careers across the ag industry.

As with previous years, Chinn says the 30 students selected for this year’s academy will tour a wide variety of agribusinesses and other ag facilities.

Five high school sophomores will be selected from each of six regions around the state. The deadline for students to apply for the Missouri Agribusiness Academy is February first, with interviews taking place in March and participants announced in the spring.  Additional details are available on the Missouri Department of Agriculture website.
