Miller Returns to Knox County as New Boys Basketball Coach

Knox County is turning to a former Eagle player and coach to fill the role of head boys basketball coach. Nathan Miller returns to Knox County after spending the past two years as the head boys basketball coach and Athletic Director at Brashear. Miller says his familiarity with Knox County was part of the attraction.

Miller is a 2013 graduate of Knox County High School. He served as the assistant coach for the varisty girls basketball team and as the head coach for the junior high boys basketball teams from 2017 to 2019. Miller takes over for Keith Gudehus who will remain as Knox County’s Athletic Director. Miller says he looks forward to working alongside Gudehus.

Brashear went 15-23 during Miller’s two-year tenure. Miller says one particular memory stands out during his time with the Tigers.

Brashear defeated Novinger and Marceline on their way to that tournament championship game against Milan. Miller now sets his sight on the challenges of facing a tough Lewis & Clark Conference schedule at Knox County.

Knox County compiled a 15-6 record last season under Gudehus. They graduate five seniors from that squad.
