Milan School Board Discussing Spectator Limitations and Tournament Prospects

The Milan School Board had several topics to discuss during its October School Board meeting, including what to do about attendance restrictions for the upcoming high school basketball season. Milan Superintendent Dr. Ben Yocom says two options were considered during the meeting.

The Milan High School basketball teams will begin playing in their new gym at the start of 2021. Despite a larger amount of seating in the new gym, Yocom says attendance restrictions will be in place there as well.

A discussion was also held regarding Milan’s annual basketball tournament which is scheduled to be held in January.

Plans on spectator restrictions are expected to be finalized in the coming days. Further discussion on the Milan Basketball Tournament is expected to take place at the next school board meeting on November 18th.
