The Milan City Council is set to approve an engine brake ordinance which would apply for the entire city. Milan City Administrator Fred Ventresco says the proposal is still awaiting some state approval.

Ventresco says the ordinance encompasses the whole city to cut down on noise complaints related to semi trucks braking through the city.

As soon as MoDOT gives its approval of the ordinance, the Milan City Council will vote on its approval. That could come as early as next Monday.
