Microsurfacing Treatment on Highway 36 Postponed

Work originally scheduled for Highway 36 near Marceline and Wheeling next week has been postponed a week. MoDOT says crews from Vance Brothers will microsurface three separate sections of highway at Marceline and Wheeling starting October 9th. This high-friction surface treatment is an enhancement to assist motorists with traction on the curved section of road. During the process, crews will narrow the highway to one lane around each work zone. A reduced speed limit will be in place and flaggers will be at crossovers and intersections. A 16-foot width restriction will be in place. Work should be done by October 16th. All work is weather-permitting.
