Michael Gene Frieden

Michael Gene Frieden, 62, of Curryville, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024, at his home.

Cremation rites are under the direction of Bibb-Veach Funeral Homes and Crematory in Bowling Green.

Michael was born September 25, 1962, in Louisiana, Missouri to John and Betty (Jennings) Frieden. Both preceded him in death.

Survivors include siblings: Johnny Ray Jennings (LuAnn) of Panama City Beach, Florida, Barb Magruder (Mark) of Eolia, Jay Frieden of Texas, Debbie Niffen of Curryville, Kenneth Frieden of Curryville, Paula Houchins (Aaron) of Frankford, and Eddie Frieden of Frankford; along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and extended family.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Billy Wayne Jennings and Dennis Frieden.

Michael grew up in Spencersburg and attended Frankford Elementary School. He attended Bowling Green High and obtained his GED before getting his associate degree from Southeastern Community College in West Burlington, Iowa. He went on to begin employment at Watlow, where he worked for eleven years.

Michael enjoyed tinkering on everything, including lawn mowers, and making jewelry. He also enjoyed listening to rock and roll music.
