MFA Oil Receives $135k Biofuels Grant

MFA Oil Company is among the recipients of grants issued Thursday by USDA to expand the sales and use of renewable fuels. USDA’s Rural Development office announced that the company would receive $135,000 through the Higher Blends Infrastructure Incentive Program to purchase two 15,000 gallon biodiesel storage tanks. The company plans to install them in Palmyra and Sikeston, which should lead to an additional 16.6 million gallons sold each year. The grant was among 23 biofuel projects announced Thursday, with USDA investing $18.4 million in 20 states.
