During its April meeting, the Mexico School Board approved a bid for the school district’s track re-surfacing project. Mexico Superintendent Dr. Tammy Lupardus says six bids were submitted.

Work on the project will involve replacing the eight-lane track’s surface, as well as the long jump runways and high jump/pole vault takeoff areas. Lupardus says the track has been in need of re-surfacing.

Last year, the Mexico School District completed a turf project for the high school football, baseball, and soccer fields. Work on the track project is expected to begin this summer.
