Mexico Man Hurt in Early Morning Accident

A Mexico man suffered moderate injuries in an accident on Highway 54 a half mile west of Mexico early Sunday morning. The State Highway Patrol says 32-year-old Jose Alvarez’s pickup went off the side of the road, and hit a mailbox and driveway embankment before going airborne around 12:45. He was booked for DWI and taken to Columbia.
