The A.P. Green Foundation gave the Parks Department a $20,000 grant to help cover the cost of developing a plan. The council also approved pre-authorizing the purchase of a self-propelled lift for the Forestry Department. Slagle says the city tried to purchase one last year.
The city’s staff could spend up to $85,000 for the lift.
