Mesecher’s Four-Hit Day Powers La Plata Past District Foe North Shelby

La Plata became winners of its fourth straight contest with a 7-3 road win at North Shelby Friday evening. Reese Mesecher made an instant impact in the lead-off spot for the Bulldogs.

Steven Findley Jr with the call on Glory 97.3 and centralmoinfo.com. Mesecher produced four hits in all four of his at-bats, totaling two doubles, two runs batted in and two singles. Landyn Jones threw five scoreless innings on the mound before the Raiders found their first runs of the game.

Fallert also had a double on the day. The Raider comeback was kept alive by a seventh-inning single courtesy of RF Chesnie Robbins, but the Bulldogs would halt the effort and secure the win. La Plata coach Matt Safley applauded Jones for a complete game performance in the win.
