Meadville Girls Take Top Spot in Latest Basketball Rankings
The Meadville girls are the new top team in Class 1 in the latest MBCA rankings. The Lady Eagles are joined by North Shelby, which is ranked fourth. Cairo is third in Class 2, Schuyler County sixth and Canton is tied for 10th. The South Shelby girls are up to second in Class 3. Palmyra is receiving votes. In Class 4, Centralia, Southern Boone and Hallsville are receiving votes.
For boys, Atlanta is third, Green City fifth, Higbee seventh and Glasgow receiving votes in Class 1. District foes New Franklin, Westran and Salisbury are sixth, eighth and ninth in Class 2. Macon is receiving votes in Class 4.
