Martin Dennis Fisher, 72, of Louisiana, passed away Monday, September 23, 2024, at Country View Nursing Facility in Bowling Green.

Funeral services for Martin will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Bibb-Veach Funeral Homes and Crematory with Greg Wyble officiating. Burial will be in St. Clement Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of services on Thursday at the funeral home.

Martin was born April 14, 1952, in Vandalia, Missouri to Clarence Truman and Jean Barbara (Frieden) Fisher. He grew up outside Curryville and was a 1971 graduate of Bowling Green High School.

A few years after graduation, Martin moved to Louisiana and was employed with Stark Bros. Nursery working in the fields and warehouse for over 40 years. When his health began to fail in 2018, Martin moved back to Bowling Green to be closer to family. Martin enjoyed reading westerns, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, and riding around with Jerome Myers. He also loved spending time with his nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Martin is survived by siblings: Melvin Fisher (Marie) of Curryville, Monte Fisher (Terry) of Farber, Marilyn Hopke (Dale) of Vandalia, Martha Scherder (Keith) of Bowling Green, and Malcolm Fisher (Jennifer) of Curryville; nieces and nephews: Travis Fisher (Debbie), Mark Fisher (Jennifer), Kimberly Hammitt (Steve), Erica Hall (Jason), Jennifer Kraft, Justin Hopke (Greta), Jared Hopke (Kelsey), Timothy Scherder (Bobbie), Michelle Sorenson (Clayton), Leea Smith (Paul), and Logan Fisher; along with numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; cousins; aunts and uncles; and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Mary Kay Fisher.

Pallbearers will be Travis Fisher, Mark Fisher, Justin Hopke, Jared Hopke, Timothy Scherder, and Logan Fisher.
