The Lewis and Clark Conference superintendents met last Thursday to discuss what their activity seasons will look like. Marceline Superintendent Brian Sherrow is this year’s spokesperson for the conference.

The conference has not finalized any restrictions and will not vote on any types of changes until a meeting scheduled for August 20th. That meeting is eight days before the start of high school football in Missouri. Sherrow says barring any state, or local mandates, the conference is confident they’ll be able start their seasons on time.

Sherrow says a lot of the area superintendents are sending out letters and posting on social media to be responsible with their actions to slow the spread of the virus. Sherrow is encouraging conference participants to be smart.

The Lewis & Clark currently has three conference games scheduled Week 1 at Marceline, Paris, and Westran.
