A majority of last week’s Marceline School Board meeting focused on the 2020-21 school calendar. Superintendent Brian Sherrow says a large reason why they’re focused on it is because they can’t start school before August 24th.

Sherrow says they’ll have to compromise to do what’s best for the district.

Sherrow said the calendar planning did not include discussions of extending the days, or moving to a four-day week. He said neither are currently on the district’s radar.
