Marceline Hosting Celebration of 100 Years of the Walt Disney Company

Thousands of people will descend upon Marceline on June 3rd for a special event called “Celebrate a Moment in Time.” City Manager Richard Hoon says this event will recognize the city’s ties to Walt Disney.
The clock is a replica of the Main Street U.S.A. clock. Activities will be confined to Ripley Park and the surrounding streets. Hoon explains how this event came to fruition.
More than 40 vendors are expected to participate in the “Celebrate a Moment in Time.” Live bands and kids activities will also highlight the day’s festivities. Events are scheduled to run from noon to 4 pm.
