Marceline Beats Eugene To Get Back To The State Finals

The Marceline Lady Tigers get a chance to defend their state title, after a 7-1 semifinal victory over Eugene at the MSHSAA Softball Championships in Springfield today (Fri). Both teams scored a run in the first inning. A key swing play came in the bottom of the 4th, with Eugene threatening to go on top….

In the other semifinal, Sherwood shutout Russellville 1-0. The Lady Marksmen will get another shot at Marceline in a rematch of the Class 2 championship game a year ago that was won by Marceline 4-1.
