Marceline 4th of July Celebration

This year’s 4th of July Celebration in Marceline will be smaller than in years past. Marceline Fire Chief Jeri Holt says they had to cancel the carnival this year, but they will still sell burgers on Saturday.

He asks that for orders of 10 or more, please email your name, quantity, and estimated pickup time in advance to [email protected]. They’ve ordered 1,600 patties. Hamburgers are $3, cheeseburgers are $4, and the Big Chief is $6.

The funds go to support the volunteer fire department. The fireworks will be launched at 9:30pm at Country Club Lake.

Holt says the fireworks were ordered prior to the pandemic, and the department didn’t want to store the fireworks until next year.
