The man who fled from an accident in Macon which left a motorcycle rider with life-threatening injuries is now behind bars. Macon police identified Anthony Perchlak as the driver who left the scene of an accident which took place Sunday at the intersection of Highway 63 and Locust involving a motorcycle and a SUV. Through the course of the investigation, officers identified the owner/driver of the vehicle reportedly leaving the scene. The SUV was later located by Macon County Sheriff’s Office outside the city limits. Police later placed a Macon man under arrest for leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident causing physical injury, tampering with physical evidence and failure to yield to an approaching vehicle when entering/crossing highway. Perchlak is in custody with a $50,000 cash only bond.
