The Boone County Sheriff’s Department says a suspect in a January 13th murder on the 200 block of Sarazen Drive is in custody. The Boone County Sheriff’s Department learned Saturday morning that 60-year-old Garland B. Wisley was taken into custody in San Luis, Arizona as he was attempting to re-enter the United States from Mexico. Extradition to Missouri is pending. The Boone County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 200 block of Sarazen Drive to investigate the shooting death of 38-year-old John R. Albers January 13th. Two days later, the Boone County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued a warrant and charged Wisley with second degree murder and armed criminal action with bond set at $1 million cash. The sheriff’s department says investigators worked to locate Wisley, but it was believed he left the country, which led to Saturday’s arrest as Wisley attempted to re-enter the United States.
